Canon S45 vs. Minolta DiMAGE S404

I'm trying to decide what camera to use to replace a film camera for a lady that lives for her pictures. She is very untechincal so a fancy camera with lots of buttons is out of the question.

I think I've narrowed it down to the Canon S45 or the Minolta Dimage S404

I'm leaning toward the Canon because I've been really happy with my G1.

Any thoughts?

i'm loving my s40, and the s45 is pretty much an upgraded one of those. you can't go wrong with canon.
