Do you guys think there's a noticeable difference going from the Canon S30 to the S45? Is it worth shoveling out $150 for it? Any opinions will be appreciated.
I'm more inclined to go with the S45 due to the fact that it's a newer model. I got my S45 from Dell but I haven't opened it yet. A friend of mine offered to sell me his old S30. It seems to be in very good condition. However, it seems like a good idea for me to save myself $150 and go with the S30 since it's going to be my first digital camera anyways.
In terms of just megapixel rating, I probably won't care much between 3 or 4 MP's. I guess I'm more concerned with how long I'll be keeping this camera. Since it's my first digital camera, it's hard for me to tell how much I'll be using it (though I do plan on using it a lot). If I get the S30 and decide not to keep it, I can probably sell it without suffering any loss. With the S45, I'm pretty sure I'll be losing quite a bit of money (depending how long I keep it before selling).
