How do I take long exposure shots?

I lost the manual, set it to like...3 seconds but it doesn't seem to work.

+ I guess when it DOES work, all I get is a lot of light/white

anyone know how its done?

Ummm,

If you're using the long exposure with a rather bright setting, a lot of light will be captured in. Take night shots with long exposures.

I have an s200 and to get to the manual settings, press "set", then use the arrows to scroll to manual. Then press "W/B (white balance)", and select your exposure time.

i have that problem too. It occurs when you try to take pics in really dark places, the camera automatically change its setting. go to the exposure lvl and set it to 0 again. that hsould work.

eh, i remember theres a setting thats named pretty obviously.. forgot what it was. for ease of use its ussually in dumb mode, go to crazy iso setting instead of long exposure.
