Remember when Staples had these for clearance for $239, and people used $30 off coupon for a total of $209?

Office Max

EDIT: Thanks to Growltiger
Call customer service and have to adjust the price to be $279 to match with B&M ad.
AD Link

$279 - $50 = $229 + free 128MB CF

Your thread title is a bit confusing.... when you say NO PM/Rebate and say it's 250.. it means I can still use the 50 off coupon, but then when I open your deal.. you've already taken 50 off.

Please clarify

I wanted this camera, but missed out.
I just bought a package from someone on the FS/T board. Close to new.

This is a fantastic price for a new camera + CF

awesome camera, you won't be dissapointed. there are newer models out, but i've found 2.1mp to be fine for me. Part of me wishes I had spent a little more for the 3x zoom but this one works great. the 128mb card is a must.

The same amount of tax for me, too :(. You might also take a look at the A60 (the updated version of the A40) for $224 from Dell, no tax, free shipping, but no CF card :-(

Growtiger, is there an ad link to this?

Online, you can get the S200 alone for $279, and S200+CF for $299.

If B&M has S200+CF for $279, then S200 alone is offered for less??

The card alone is not worth $45.

You can get a 256mb CF for less than that AR.

Still a decent deal though

Title changed~

Last bump for me.

Thanks everyone.

Does anyone know if there is a max limit on the size of CF this camera can take??

My RIO300 was limited to a 32MB SM.

The Canon A70 has many more features. The movie audio/video mode works great too. I borrowed an A70 during vacation and loved it. If I had the $$, I would have bought one from Dell.

The deal from Dell that included the 128Meg CF card was a good deal. It was $309 shipped. The deal will be back and would be worth the wait. With the current Dell %15 off coupon code, it may still be a good deal. Search AT and the overweight-site for A70 for more info.

at Dell.com you can get the A70 with a 256 meg CF card for 376.49 thats with 15% off coupon shipped and taxed
then they have a $20 rebate for the camera and another $20 for the CF card so total 376.49-20-20= 336.49

not so bad
i think i might get this one

Thats true but you have to remember that S series is more geared towards point and shoot consumers, whereas A series is more manual.
Lot of people choose S series for its compactness and shape also.

I totally agree with this one. It's like comparing a full fledged notebook to a sub-notebook. I know for myself, there's no way in hell I'm carrying the A70 around whereas I can imagine stuffing an S200 in a coat or pant pocket.

If audio/video and the other features are not worth the extra weight and size, then the S200 would certainly be better for some people. After seeing the nice movies from some of these newer cameras though, it will be hard to go back. There's nothing like a short audio/video clip to really capture a moment. Even the new A300 from Canon can do 3 minutes of 320x240 audio/video (30 sec @ 640x480), and it can be had for about $200. Like the S200, the A300 is also 6.2 ounces, but it's not as small. The simple "point and shoot" cameras are coming a long way.

The S200 does look like a nice little camera. 6.2 ounces .vs. 7.6 ounces for the A70. The S200 is smaller than the A70, but the A70 is still small.

The Sony DSC-P72 was also nice and can take unlimited 640x480 audio/video (up to the limit of the SmartMedia card). However, the ability to use its movie mode in low-light seemed limited. A picture taken in low-lighting with the DSC-P72 worked well, but as soon as I switched to movie mode for the same scene, things got a lot darker.

WHy dont you match it to Amazon $248.xx and use the $50 coupon so that you get it for ~ $200 total?
