Canon S200 Battery Charger Making High Pitched Noise

Is it normal for the battery charger, when charging a battery, to make a high pitched squealing noise? The pitch of the noise doesn't move around, it just stays there constantly until charge is finished.

mine doesn't make noise.
i would RMA it ... it might lead to a fire..
i wouldn't risk using it.

no..dude thats normal. It happened to me before. Read the damn manual...
it even mentions that that is quite normal...not like it'll blow
up or sumptin. I even called Canon and the rep said its fine but if it
bothers u that much, u can send it in and they will ship u a new one.

lol, yeah, i called and they said it's normal. I don't carefully read the manual, page by page, I just skim through it so I must have missed it.
