Canon s110 for 339, Shipped!

At dell.com, canon s110 is 399, but after 10 % and 20 dollars off, and free shipping at most states, you can get it for 339! This is a sweet deal for a sweet camera.

Also, use ebates for another 7 off. this comes to 332!

I have been searching for this camera for a couple months...and i can definitevly say that there is not one retail store that can offer this for 339 shipped.

i found it at this site that has "dailyedeals"

on another note, .com has a nice ring when combined wit that word.

nice find... i got this a while back (before 1/31/02), so i could get that free accessory kit - it was 359.xx or something around there at that time since Dell only had the 10% coupon out.... AGH! and now they have another stackable 20$ coupon!! oh well... keep your eyes open for lower prices (if u bought with AMEX Blue)... Canon's supposed to be releasing a new line of cameras at the end of this month at the PMA i think. hopefully the prices on the S110 will drop after this month! anybody have any further details ???

supertunger99,
it's the retail package/version

the 775 will fit nice in your palm, but the s110 will fit nicely in your pocket.
the metal outside casing is really nice, i dropped mine on the ground and no scratches...

does anyone suggest any other deals on the S110, or on better cameras in the Dell selection, I'm looking for the Olympus d40, Fuji 6800, or the Canon s300 s40 ....

i appreciate all help and suggestions

Not that I've ever purchased from this company, but eDigitalMall.com sells this for $335 shipped. But you might as well go with a known company.

Took the plunge ... thanks for the deal.
I was going to wait till I could find some more revews on the new Minolta Dimage X which I believe is going to be around 390-400.00 srp. Enough people had good things to say about the S110 so I figured why not.

Thanks again

thanks larciel for pointing that out... i'm going to take the plunge also.

just sold my 995 anyways...

how are Dell CSR in dealing with returns ?

as i have said before, ive researched cameras for a while, and i thought this one was the best. True, there are some other cameras that are also small and good quality, but i thought this had the best image quality/size combination. canon does have the slightly bigger s300, s30, and s40. the s300 adds 3x zoom(which i dont think is too big of a deal.....), and also the s30/s40 are 3/4 mp respectively...however, my eye is not keen enough to see the difference in MP..as i am just an ameteur. i used to own an olympus c-3040, but i sold it because i wanted something i could carry with me at all times that is rugges as well. for some reviews of cameras, these are some good sites.

They sent me a refurb monitor once (was advertised new) and I had no problems returning since they were at fault. They sent me an airbill and picked up all costs; ended up wasting my time, but at least I didn't have to pay for shipping back.

just to revive the thread a bit and get more opinions on it... is it worth it ? I cant decide $339 for S110 or $608 for Olympus D40

I can't tell you about the Olympus, but I can give you a bit of info about the Canon S110... it's great!

Even 8 x 10 enlargements are sharp. It is a well built camera, feels like it's carved out of solid hunks of glass and steel.

The only downside is the weak flash, and I wish the lens had a wider field. Otherwise you will not be dissapointed with this unit.

Pentax Optio 330 is better. The same size, but 3x optical zoom and 3.34MP. It also has a crazy realtime histogram plotting feature on the LCD which I don't think is all that useful, but looks damn cool. I got mine for $400 after MIR before Christmas, but that included an extra battery too. They're probably way cheaper now.

I purchased the S110 last Aug. and have taken over 800 photos with it so far. I love it. You can put it in your shirt pocket or on a neck strap and wear it like a necklace. The auto features work very well. It's hard to take a bad picture with it. The only cons I've seen are:

1) Proprietary battery ( pick up an extra - Aprox. $50 )
2) Optical zoom is only 2 1/2X ( Approx. same as 35mm-70mm on 35mm camera) I don't mind I still use my 35mm for objects far away.
3) Redeye reduction doesn't work that well ( somewhat typical )

The pros far outweigh the cons... buy it.

I paid approx $346 with Staples PM, Staples coupon and AMEX PM.
