Hi,

My printer seems to wait about 10-20 seconds between each page it prints after the first. After it prints the first page, it gets the next page ready by pulling it in an inch or two, then sits there.

The printer doesn't seem to be doing anything, and the computer is idle.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? It's quite annoying and makes the printer much slower :(

Thanks,

Dave

There's an option in the driver to allow the ink to dry; AFAIK it will cause this type of thing to happen.

Make sure that option is disabled. I'm not sure what else to suggest.

Are you using parallel, USB, or USB 2.0?

It is probably spooling you may be able to trun off spooling.

Agree with Bleep - there are spooling choices.. Try it with printing as soon as received instead of waiting for the spool to fill.

This happens when spooling is done... I might try turning off the ink drying thing, I have a feeling that's what it is... thanks :)
