Not to say that this isn't hot, but:

1) The zoom is a bit less than most other cameras in this price range have
2) It requires a special battery, which means you really need to have a second on hand at all times, since you can't just buy one off the shelf.

Just in case that helps people who are thinking about this.
 
this is damn hot!
cant find for 199 anywhere, only refurbs. 64 card is a great throw in. Yes you need more, but this is perfect for a gift, im throwing this at my sister. Its a usable card and i dont look like a cheap bastard. My other sister just paid 3bills in San Diego at a bm store.. so i look good again. 🙂
2x opt does blow, i had the cf version of this camera, but its decent enuff for a point n shoot. 3.2 is more than enuff for casual use.
Theres cheaper 3.2m digicams, but this one is damn small and takes great pics.
Oh and the battery life is terrific. These have some pwr saving built into the processing chip.
Rather have a longer lasting one than another cam that takes AAs and doesnt last as long.
