Well, after researching it seems that this is a pretty good camera. It isn't that big, takes nice pictures, and has a lot of accessories. I have a Fuji 3800 right now, but I find that it is basically an automatic camera which I don't like. So anyone have a S500? It's either that or a Fuji S7000. Thanks

If you're not printing at ludicrous sizes, you might want to consider saving some money and going for the S400.
Just my 2 cents.

I didn't seem to find this, but is this camera kind of like the A80? I like how the a80 has the different modes.

this is really popular with the SCUBA crowd as waterprrof housings and other accessories are cheap and plentiful...

My brother has a S400 and that thing takes damn nice pictures. The S400 has been disco'd because of the new S410, but you can still find one for a great price.

The S7000 is nice but it's a very different camera, MUCH larger and well over twice as heavy, with better zoom and more "SLR-like" features (hot-shoe flash, threaded lens, etc.).

If you are making photography a hobby, the S7000 is great, but if you want something a little more versatile and that you can carry around with you, definitely go with the Canon.
