Canon PowerShot S5 IS for $339.99 Before Coupons at CC

This is the cheapest price I've found for the Canon PowerShot S5 IS (well, that is not counting the places in NY which try to up-sell once you place the order - if you don't buy the additional overpriced accessories then suddenly the camera is out of stock for a few weeks)... normally $399.99 at CC, on sale for $339.99. I used AAA's 10% off @ CC coupon, and got it for $305.99, plus tax. Note that the price posted at the store was a sale price of $379.99 - they honored the $339.99 price shown online (they did go online to verify it and to make sure it was not a web-only price, which it is not).

With this purchase, you also qualify for one of three deals:
1) Additional 5% off if purchased online and you select in-store pick-up (I did not select this one so I don't know if this can be combined with the AAA coupon or not)
2) $50 off the Epson Dash AR
3) Canon MP160 all-in-one for $29.99 AR

The CC I went to also had the Eneloop AA 8-packs on clearance for $14.99 - picked-up some for the Canon.

Also, CC is offering 18 months with no interest (using your CC account) for camera & accessory purchases of $249 and up... the camera, printer, and Eneloop batteries I purchased all qualified 🙂

Damn. I'd be all over it if the closest CC wasn't 120 miles away. 🙁

It is a good deal but the price of the S5 has come down everywhere recently. Amazon is selling is for $319.99 delivered. They also have the Sanyo eneloops. They are selling the 4 battery charger with 4 AA batterys for $19.33 or just the 8-pak of AA's for $14.99. All of those items qualify for free super-saver shipping if the order is over $25.00. Not too shabby really.

I had checked Amazon several days ago (maybe a week or so) and the price was not that low, so the price has dropped recently (and not just on Amazon) - and may drop a bit more as businesses panic at the slow sales rate for this Christmas. Given the current shipping problems due to the weather, there is something to be said for going to the local store (if there is one local to you), buying an item and walking out with it in hand.

For Eneloop batteries, it had been posted on another thread that Costco has the Eneloop kit (AAA, AA, charger, plus C and D adapters, carring case) for either $19.xx or $20.xx (depending on the store) after instant rebate. The first Costco I went to did not have them, but the 2nd one (less than 20 minutes away from the 1st Costco I tried) had plenty in stock.
