I would have jumped but I got the S3 for $250 this week after a Wal-mart price match using a office depot price mistake in the Sunday ad.

You are better off IQ wise with your S3, they bumped up the MP on the S5 but didnt make a bigger sensor. But good deal nonetheless, not a bad price.

I just flipped my S3 for the S5. The S3 is fantastic, but there were a couple of specific features I wanted that the S5 had. The first was the bump from 800 to 1600 ISO for low-light situations, and the second was a hot shoe to add an external flash. Aside from a slightly larger LCD screen, the camera is identical on the outside. There are supposedly a lot of internal changes with the new processor, and some red-eye removal mode, but the S3 is still a solid contender.

The S5 IS is the best digital on the market. You can't hardly get a bummer picture out of it!

Edited: Just make sure you get the one made in Japan!
