Tax kills it for anyone in Texas, but definitely a nice price otherwise. (Amazon has it for $350 with free shipping and no tax for me, which is where I'll probably end up ordering it from in the next few months.)

I've been wanting one of these ever since I heard about it earlier this year (had an S1 IS for almost two years and I loved it). 🙂

same thing for NJ. Amazon seems the place to order.

I almost bought one earlier this week. BB had it for $359 - 10% off.

Ended up ~$345 after tax. I keep reading alot of good things about it but also alot of QC problems. I'm trying to wait until they work out some of the bugs.

I got the deal that de8212 posted above at Best Buy. I got the 10% coupon in the mail and they had it for $359. Decent deal on 2 gig SD card @ BB too. $44.95. I have had 3 previous digital cameras, working up to this, and I have to say that the picture quality rivals, or is better than, my Minolta Maxxum.

This is the first digital that I've owned that gives you full manual control, and it is fantastic. I was either going with this of the Sony DSC-H5, and this won out.

Have you guys looked at the sample pics on dpreview? They are really noisey even with noise reduction (blur).

They aren't too bad. Dpreview still rates as one of the top digital point and shoots.
