Canon powershot G2 problem

A friend of mine called me saying she can't access the pictures she took (important for her college yearbook or whatever)

The memory stick shows that space is used up (about how much space is normally used up with 50 pictures taken) but there are no pictures to access under the DCM folder on the camera.

Any ideas or solutions... I'm sure she isn't the only one to run into this problem.

The G2 uses Compact Flash, not Memory Stick. Does she have the right subdirectory? Has she tried another computer?

BTW, you can get emergency file retrieval software for CF cards.
