Canon MX850 printing problem

Hello All,

My canon mx850 all in one recently started printing anything in color with thick evenly spaced lines. Anything in black or text prints fine. I tried running the printer cleaning utility as well as the auto-print head alignment and still no luck fixing it. Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to fix this?

Quite clearly your printhead is probably clogged. Some of the nozzles in a printhead are dedicated to printing text black while other nozzles are dedicated to printing the various colors. Clearly one or more color nozzles are clogged and or one or more color cartridges are not feeding ink fast enough. But step one is to go to printers and faxes, click the maintenance tab, and print a nozzle check to see what nozzles are screwed up.

Just google the nifty stuff forums for instructions on how to clean a printhead.

If worse comes to worse, a replacement Canon printhead costs about sixty bucks.
