Check it out: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/canon_ip4000.html

The Pixma iP4000 replaces last year's i860 model and will retail for an estimated $149.99. The iP4000 is Canon's fastest consumer inkjet printer to date with print speeds up to 25 ppm in black and 17 ppm in color. It blazes through 4x6" borderless photo prints in just 36 seconds. And Canon did not stop there, they incorporated their new FINE print head, second paper tray and a built-in duplexer.

There is also the IP1500, IP2000 and IP3000.

Printers are too pedestrian for this crowd - hard to mod or OC 'em. I don't care for U-shaped paper paths, but it would probably be OK for plain paper. Luckily you can still put the important stuff through the right way, as nature intended... Chock-a-block with cool features - auto duplexing, two types of paper, etc.! As the doodz say, Canon rulz...

The best just gets better. Now it looks mure like HP who owns most of the inkjet market share. Canon's didn't look as cool, now they do.

One of these days I keep thinkin Canon will make their carts hard to copy or refill but so far so good.

I want one, but can't justify it. I already have the i860.
It does look like the perfect printer for home users though.

Looks like they won't be shipping until early August... Canon always does that - just in time for the PC Magazine big printer test issue.
