Canon i560 owners...

I am considering buying this printer, and I wanted to know about the running costs... I know the inks are cheap, and generic one are cheaper.

Here is my question to you:

How many b/w text pages can you print from each black ink tank (BCI 3ebk) of your printer??

Canon's website says it around 330 pages@ 5% coverage.... is that accurate?

Thanks

I'd say that's right for 5% coverage. That's just type though.

OTOH, you can get cartridges for under $2 or refill your own for pennies on the dollar.

We have 3 of these printers and 11 Canon inkjets over all.

I am in India... so refills arent easy to come by....

The original black ink tank is priced at $13

Btw, how many pages approximately does the print head last??

Most of the cheaper generic cartridges come from China. If you can't get them in India you might want to start an import business.

Original black BCI-3's are about $11-13 here.

Canon rates their printhead at 15,000+ copies.

The i560 is the best all around inkjet.

Thanks macro ...

Will look into the import business idea....🙂

Btw... the i560 is expensive here... $200 🙁
