canon i550

So, we have a canon i550 color printer, which is connected to my dads winXP system. My computer can see it, but cannot connect. When I try to connect, I get an error saying the server has an incorrect driver.

The other Xp systems have no trouble printing to it. But the 2 vista computers cant seem to print or connect to it. Does my dad need to update the drivers on his computer? Or is there something I need to update on my end?

I even tried downloading some vista drivers for the i550, either I got the wrong ones or they didn't help.

Yes you need to install the latest Vista drivers for the printer in order for the PCs to connect and print. If that isn't working then i don't know what else to check.
