Canon i450 printer & windows XP AMD64

I don't know if I will have luck, but I lose nothing by trying. Does anyone here have a combination on winXP 64 bits AND a canon i450 printer working correctly?

There are no drivers for this printer and this OS and canon very likely will not release them. Short of getting a newer printer, is there any other solution to make it work in WinXP AMD64? I tried other drivers (BJC series included in the OS) and it prints, but scaled 50%....

Help appreciated!

64-bit Win XP is still mainly for experimenters and programmers. You should be set up to dual boot into 32 and 64 bit XP, so you can use all your current peripherals. That's a no-brainer... Lots of older peripherals are going to be SOL on the 64-bit operating systems so you may as well get used to it. Hardly anyone really needs a 64-bit OS anyway.

I have a dual boot (Win 2K and XP AMD64) but it gets annoying that if working in 64 bits I have to save and re-boot to print.
