Does anyone here have a Canon digital camera (preferrably an S110). I lost the driver cd to the camera and I can not download the Zoom Browser software from Canon's website (they only provide updates). So if someone has one of these cds could you please take an image and send it :)

Got an S200 here too, but no cord. Grr. Gotta use a CF adapter to transfer pics.

The software on this disk can be used with the following cameras.

IXY DIGITAL 300a PowerShot S330
DIGITAL IXUS 330 IXY DIGITAL 200a
PowerShot S200 DIGITAL IXUS v2
PowerShot A100

Copyright (C) 1998-2002 Canon Inc.

I think you are out of luck. Sorry. And the software is 120mb (just hte zoom browser, not the photo editing suite stuff)

If you still want it, send me a self addressed media envelope (PM me for address) and I will either burn a minicd with just the zoombrowser or the all the entire cd (depending on the envelope size)

i dunno, i tried to use it and found it clunky as heck. using a CF reader is sooo much more convenient.

A lot of people assume you MUST use this software to retrieve your pics from your digicam, wrong!

1) Since I have about 20 rechargeable batteries and I'm lazy, prefer to use USB from digicam to USB on PC, quick & dirty.

2) Remove CF from Canon, put into CF reader or one of these and transfer directly to your PC, it's like using a floppy.

well it is slightly more convenient for me to use the zoombrowser

I just plug the camera in. Windows xp automatically launces zoombrowswer. I click once and the pics are already uploaded to "mypics/monthdaytime".

Plug it in. Click once.

No need to open the cf door. Take out the card. Close cf door. Plug card into reader. Click on my computer. Click on drive X. Copy. Paste. Thats a waste of time!

I do the same thing except I don't even need Zoom Browser.

If you're using Windows XP, plug the USB cable into your digicam then into your PC, then TURN ON your digicam it should automatically recognize and offer to retrieve pics for you. You can even instruct XP to DELETE the pics from your digicam after it d/l's then. This works fine with my Canon S200/A40, Fuji Finepix 1400 and my wife's Kodak DX3700.

Or try going to Start -> Control Panel -> Scanners & Cameras

boo and baaah @ ZoomBrowser.

like Rossman said, if you use XP and installed the WIA drivers, XP's native support for pulling pictures work better.

That's exactly what I do, I didn't install any of the software that came with my s200.

yep. all i need too. Just pull out the USB cord and power on. MS camera wizard comes up and download the pictures. Or you can go to advance mode, select the pictures you want to download or select the pictures you wish to delete.

Doesn't get much easier than that.
