canon digi. camera owners -- what's a good SD card for a canon a520?

I'm not sure what SD card I should pick up speedwise, the current one that came with the camera is so slow! It takes a good 2-3 seconds before I can retake the next picture ... do I need the speeds from the SanDisk Ultra II 1GB SD or would a regular Kingston 1GB Elite Pro work?

I'm hoping I can use this when I upgrade to maybe a DSLR ... would the latter cheaper one work? Hoping I can grab this tonight.

TIA!

We bought cheap SanDisk 512MB SecureDigital for $9.99 AR @ CC on BF

Works fine in the Canon PowerShot A520, sweet little digicam.

Wouldn't buying a Ultra II or Elite Pro for a "budget" digicam be overkill?

I would also look into the possibility that your camera is not a speed demon in the first place, as noted by DPReview.

He's interested from the point of view of upgrading to a more demanding unit, so it may make sense in that regard.
