canon chipped inks...non oem replacements....

Anyone here have a a Canon pirnter with the chips on the ink cartridge? if so, do you have trouble using teh non OEM inks? When I use it, it works fine forteh first 2 days, but then it gets screwy with me and the color prints comes out all tinted while the printer keeps telling me that there is no black ink left. Anyone else have these issues?

I though about trying the generic stuff but haven't yet. Though, paying $80 for a complete set of refills is too much. I'll probably try the generic for my next refill. This doesn't help you out at all though.

Try the Swift Ink promo stickied in the HD forum. I have had really good succes with them. But of course, I got my printer before Canon decided to chip thier cartriges.

That's whatI have been using. I don't think its SwiftInks fault, I just think that canon made it really difficult to use non oem inks.

Swift has a tutorial on how to use the chips from your old cartridge on their new ones, but it seems kind of flaky to me...I'll just buy Canon carts...
