I need an item to get above 50$ for free shipping at staples, lol. I have been considering the A60 for awhile and after pricematching it to amazon can get it for 140$ at staples. Is the A60 still a good camera? or should I wait for a newer camera?

i have the a70, my girlfriend has the A60, difference in picture quality is negligible..

other than 3.2 vs 2.0 mp there isnt much difference.

I've also looked at some pics on the web with the A60. I think they are pretty impressize, onceyou learn how to use the settings. Is there any other camera in that price range that is a worthy competitor? or one for less?

You can't beat the A60 with a stick. It's the best camera in its price range.

I got my A60 for $100 AR. It's my first digital camera, and I couldn't be more pleased. I downloaded softcam and was able to turn it into a webcam too :D

Even though I paid $180 for my A60, I love it and couldn't be happier with a first digital camera. It's strongest point is its ability to take beautiful macro shots in spite of being a point and shoot 2.0 MP camera. If you're into macro, you'll love the A60.

Good camera. My wife used to keep her camera in her purse. We have had it less than a year and she must have dropped it numerous times. There are dents and scratches all over it but the camera still works great.

I'm glad to hear so many positive things about this camera.

I'm going for a weekend hike in about a month, and i'm going to take it. Does anyone know of a waterproof/resistant case for it? I dont mean the 240$ one that makes it water proof to 100 ft :p thats overkill

Try experimenting with a plastic baggy. :) I've never tried it, but I've heard it works.
