Still not FF 🙁Of course, specs are sketchy at this point, but here's what our last report had: 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor measuring 22.5 x 15-mm, 5fps burst mode, integrated anti-dust cleaning system, 2.5-inch LCD, and DIGIC II image processing.

Damn....and I just got an XTi as well. Could there be any new lenses coming along as well?

anyway, i'm guessing 12 MP, 3200 with 6400 available sensitivity, deeper buffers, etc. D200+ territory.

If it has more megapixels than my 20D but the same sensor size, I must wonder if my 20D will still have better high ISO performance.
I am trying to think, what would make a 40D good enough for me to sell my 20D?
It would have to go way above the normal tweaks. A simple increase in megapixels and anti-dust technology from the XTi would not be enough. If it were a FF camera for $1300, that would certainly do it! But I'm not betting on it.
I think some of the features from the 1D-MkIII might do it: Live View, some advanced new AF system with lots more AF points, etc. , DIGIC III processor(s), etc.
Otherwise, Canon still gives me no reason to upgrade from a camera I bought in 2004!

Rumor has it that there'll be 2 FF cameras coming from Canon either this time or Q2 next year. One will succeed 5D; it'll 'probably and hopefully' have everything that 5D has + 1. Sensor dust removal tech. 2. In body AF correction 3. 5FPS! 4. higher pixel count.
On the other hand, there'll be a entry level FF camera that has certain limitations such as 1. max shutter speed of 1/4000 2. lower pixel count 3. I forgot the rest.
Well, these are plain rumors at this stage; however as Sony is coming out with their FF sensors, It's pretty positive that Canon will offer bargain FF cameras.
