So the other day I was shooting some stuff. I wanted to shoot JPG + SRAW. So i set it for that.

I ended up with 2 JPG files.. same file name but one has (2) next to it..

It didnt give me a raw format, both files are about 4mb..

I will try plain RAW mode tonight but i wanted to use S-RAW since i am not planning to do some major changes.. S-RAW would have been fine.

any clues??

Actually both pictures taken in raw were in ADEP mode..
I usually shoot in P or Av .. P mode is the most convenient of the modes to shoot in.

i havent had a chance to play with it yet. I will tonight. The manual just says 'put it in SRAW+jpg mode..

does not mention 2 jpg files being dropped.

What program did you use to move the files to the hard drive? On my XT when I plugged my camera into the computer and copied the files over I always get 2 JPGs (still do) but when I take the memory card out and use a card reader I get 1 jpg and 1 raw. No idea why but sounds like you've got same thing happening.

OMG.. thats exactly what I am doing..

I will have to try doing it when I use the card reader? Would it make a difference if i let picasa pick up the pictures or if i use the zoomEXbrowser from canon.

I guess i will have to play around with it and see.

When the camera is plugged in I get 2 JPG files when I use the canon program that came with the camera and when I browse with explorer. I'm not sure about picasa because I don't use it.
