Cannot view my bios with Apple Cinema Display 23 HD (aluminum)

This is with these components:

For some reason it does not display the bios. It will show the windows icon when booting and then displays the desktop fine. It also scales resolutions just fine and displays properly.

GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe

Windows Vista Home Premium

Not that uncommon.. We have a 30in HP that works the same way, It does not support standard vga 640x480 @???hz. you get nothing on post until the video card drivers are loaded and a higher slower refreshing resolution is produced.

It could be either one.. It doesn't like the old vga 640x480, or more common it doesn't like the scan rate at that resolution.

It doesn't like your video card during POST. This is a known issue with the Apple Cinema with PC.

So I guess I need a different monitor then? Apple don't call your monitor PC compatible if I can't even view my bios settings with my PC!!! @@$#@%

I don't know how often you goto the BIOS but if you have another monitor, I would use it whenever you need to access the BIOS. Or replace the video card. I used to have this problem back when I had the ATI Radeon 9800 or something. I don't have an issue with my PNY 8800 GTS 640MB or my EVGA 275 GTX. It's a very nice monitor to just give up.
