Cannot Send Yahoo Plus mail from Outlook Express

Good Morning All,

I have a client with a problem that is somehow evading my resolution. He took it to another shop and they could not correct it, so their solution was to reformat/reinstall. Over and above the fact that it didn't solve the problem, he is also quite upset to find that they left off some pretty important data when they did the promised backup before reinstall . . . but, that's another story <G>.

The system is a Compaq R3000 laptop, Windows XPH w/SP3 and all further updates, fully secured and neither the previous shop or I have found any intrusions of any kind.

PROBLEM: When the client creates a message in Outlook Express and attempts to send it via his Yahoo Plus account there is an error that the server rejected the message (but without mention of a specific error).

The mail has actually been sent, but it remains in his Outbox and thus it attempts to resend it every 5 minutes. Needless to say, his customers get a little upset when they get 40 or 50 of the same message <VBG>.

I have checked all of his account settings in Outlook Express against the recommended settings in the Yahoo Plus' Help section and find no errors. He is able to receive without any problems. He can go online with Internet Explorer, go to Yahoo and Send/Receive without any problem.

Anybody have any suggestions???
