I have downloaded some files with Agent Newsreader, but I cannot see them at all. If I use google desktop, it says the files are listed in folder, but when I open the folder they are not there. I have told windows explorer to show all file types, but still I cannot see them. What is also weird is that some subfolders are show, but not others. And lastly any file that starts after the letter C is also not around. This is all only under the Agent folder, all others seem normal. Is there something easy I can do to correct this?

BTW, using Windows XP Pro, SP2. Thanks in advance!

sounds like a virus. I've seen it before, some viruses/root kits will prevent you from seeing certain files/folders. Either that, or you are looking in the wrong places.

Are you sure you're looking in the default attachments folder?

I am certain I am looking in the right place. Google desktop will show the files, and then I can either click on it to open the file (which works), or open the folder. It opens the folder, but they are not there...

I just reinstalled windows from scratch last week, and installed Free AVG, which says everything is clean... This is really weird.

Ok, i just tried a test. I copied a folder beggining with a letter higher then C, (Ulead demo) to the folder I am having problems with. The folder appeared there. I then clicked inside the folder and could see the files. When I then backed out to the folder, it new one was no longer visible. I am more lost then before.
