Cannot retrieve IP from DHCP server when connecting to Cisco 1220b AP

I'm running into a little issue...

I was able to set up the unit as a root access point with encryption and I am able to associate with the unit with a laptop but I cannot retrieve an IP address from the DHCP server. If I assign a manual IP it works fine in that I am able to access the internet. I haven't tried to
reach other network resources yet. Are there any basic configuration samples I can look at? I've tried googling only to be pointed to Cisco's site that only show samples of how the unit can be used in terms of topography but not the actual configuration settings in an AP role.

Any help would be appreciated.
