Hi,

I found sbrown23's comments in this forum, but I am not using Vista. I have the P5N-E SLI board and my machine will correctly go into S3 standby when I select Start - Turn Off Computer - Standby. I can hear the drives powering down. Then I hit my Space Bar, and I can hear them powering back up again, except the machine reboots completely instead of resuming.

- I have changed the 3-pin KBPWR jumper on the board to the 2-3 position
- I have enabled Power Up by PS/2 Keyboard in the BIOS (set to space bar)
- I have set my ACPI suspend type to S3
- I have enabled Power Up on PCI/PCIE devices (for WOL)
- I have ensured the keyboard in Device Manager correctly states "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby"

I am running XP SP2 and have a PS/2 cordless keyboard. I can also attach the keyboard via a USB port, so I can try that if I have to although I would have to enable the USB Device Wake-up which I have not yet done. I also know that my Power Supply is capable of making use of this feature because S3 worked just fine with my previous motherboard, although not via the keyboard (mobo was too old for that, I had to use the power button). But even if I use the power button with the P5N-E installed, it boots as if it had shut down.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
BM
