Cannot ping loopback address ... arrggg

Ok, I am using win2k Adv Serv, and just set up my LAN.
I've installed all the protocols required for a simple network - Netbeui, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX.
Netbeui works fine, cause I can see both computers.
IPX/SPX works fine because I have tried running a network game.
Then when I try to access the Internet on the client machine, it wont work. So I tried pinging the host computer...no reply.
Then I went to the host computer to ping a loopback (127.0.01) ... no reply.
This has wasted me practically half a day trying to fix this problem.
Does anyone know what is wrong ???

Right. If you discover that the firewall is your problem, then make sure to allow ALL PROTOCOL TRAFFIC (TCP/UDP/ICMP) from 127.0.0.1 to 127.0.0.1.
