cannot open AOL webmail... (yeah, I know)

my mom still uses aol webmail, and on her laptop, when she tries to open aol webmail, the message remains blank... she is able to open other options, like recently deleted mail, but she cannot get into the messages themselves. The aol "frame" loads, but the message on the inside remains blank...

any ideas?

Clear her cookies and her cache, see if that helps. If not, make sure she has the latest IE and JRE ('s what AOL's webmail thing uses, I think).

You could try another browser like Netscape or Mozilla.
