I replaced an EPOX 8K7A yesterday with an ABIT NF7. I'm pretty happy with the result, but I've been unable to overclock the processor. The processor is a venerable Athlon 1.4 Tbird which has been running stable at 1.53 on the 8K7A for over a year with an FSB of 133 and a 12.5 multiplier. With the new board, any effort to change to user defined FSB or multiplier settings fail. While I do have another processor on order, and will be using the old board and processor for a computer for my daughter, I'm puzzled why I can o/c the CPU with the EPOX 8K7A but not with the ABIT N7.
Anybody have any idea what the problem might be?
TIA.
