Upon joining Twitter recently via Google Chrome an issue occurred whereby I could not login to Chrome, only via Internet Explorer.
OS Name - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Version - 6.1.7601 Service pack 1 Build 7601
Processor - Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20 Ghz, 3201 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical
1.) Using the latest version of Chrome (Stable)
2.) Cleared cache
3.) Enabled cookies
4.) Disabled Ad Block
Upon performing all of the above steps, I still could not log in to Twitter. I would like to add that to disable ‘cookies’, clearing cache and disabling Ad Block are irrelevant in logging in to Twitter. This is simply untrue whereas Twitter states to ‘enable’ cookies to login. We tested both ways as each provide no justification to the specified format by Twitter.
* Still searching, we decided to move to the privacy settings. We noticed a host name ‘blocking’ Twitter (Picture Attached). How this occurred to us is unknown. Once we removed the “block”, we were able to login to Twitter, “no problem” Secondarily, as mentioned above, “It does not make a bit of difference as to clearing the cache, disabling Ad Block or enabling cookies. In fact, we have all three formats in place with no technical malfunctions.
* In fact, when one clears their cache, one must login to twitter.
If any would like to elaborate as to the last paragraph, they are more than welcome. Thank you very much and we hope we have provided some insight.
