cannot locate boot record while booting from ide0

Hi,

I installed a new ECS k7s5a. Tried to boot from existing drive without no success ( locate boot record OK. and freezes). Installed a new one, ran w2k setup, format NTFS, after formatting got the message that the partition is inaccessible or damaged. I tried the new hard drive on another pc (loaded w2k ) it worked fine. Any idea why ?
