I'm not sure how many of you are familiar w/ Nascar Heat but here is my problem.

Ever since I got the 8K7A, everything has been working great except for one thing...I cannot host races on Nascar Heat. Well, actually I can host, I just get really bad stutter on my screen only, to the point where it is undrivable for me.

The funny thing is that everyone that joins my races say it is perfectly fine on their screens, no stutter, but only my screen is affected.

If I join races hosted by other people, everything is perfectly OK and no stutter at all.

This never used to happen on my KT7 or KT7A (the only thing those two boards did better LOL), I really haven't been able to figure out why it's happening.

I have re-installed both WinME and Win98SE at least 5 times each thinking a clean install would clear up the problems but that does no good.

I've got a TB1000 @1420, DSL bandwidth using Linksys NIC, 512mb Crucial 2100, Geforce2 Pro 64mb. I use the default memory settings and the system is 100% stable.

Would it matter where I have cards placed on the mobo? I can't imagine how IRQ sharing would affect this but about the only thing I haven't tried is shuffling my cards around. I've currently got the NIC in slot 3, SCSI controller in slot 4, and TB Santa Cruz in slot 5...slots 1, 2, and 6 are empty.

I suppose it's not that big of a deal but if any of you race sims, you know that sometimes there are just crappy races out there and you'd like to be able to host your own.

That is an odd problem you have. I'm on a dial-up now but when I go back to school, I want to host some CTS races so I hope you get this resolved in case it happens to me. If you have Nascar 4, can you host a race successfully with that just to see if its a software or hardware problem.

There are tons of guys out there that can host races w/out any problems in CTS or WC so I don't think it's a software issue.

I just have funny feeling it has to do with the 8K7A that I just installed about a month ago.

If it were poor bandwidth, everyone would be stuttering but it's only me and I've got a pretty high powered computer so it can't be cause my machine isn't fast enough.
