The computer is XP home, I do not think it is even SP1. Automatic updates are checked on, but it still has not updated. I went to the update center via I.E. and it would not work. I dunno if I can update I.E. since the computer is not SP1 ( it could be, but when I check the description of the computer it just states WIN XP Home, not sp1) nor SP2. Is there something I can do so I can update via I.E.?

Thanks

Hamilton

oh yeah, and as an FYI, update problems are free support (if it's a real problem). I've used it in the past.

You might want to start by just downloading the standalone SP2 if you have a broadband connection and install that.

go to Microsoft and search for "Windows XP Service Pack 2 Network Installation Package"
