Cannot get the X1800 demos to run on X1900XT

I am using an X1900XT with the 6.2 Catalyst drivers. When I load either the Assassin or the Toy Shop demos I get this error. I have DirectX 9.0c installed as well. I don't know what is going on.

I ran them back when I first got the card using the drivers on the CD, so it's a driver problem.

I have heard of many other people being able to run these demos on their X1900s.
