Cannot get tech support from ATI!

3 times now I've submitted tech support requests to ATI via their
website. The second time I reminded them that I HAD read the FAQs and asked if
I could have a proper response. The third time I told them in no
uncertain terms that I was getting fed up with automated, unhelpful
responses. In each case I got identical responses saying
1) Read the FAQs
2) Submit another request if they didn't help

I've tried sending an e-mail, and got an automated response telling me to
use the web based system.

Has anyone any idea what to do to get those buggers to answer my
questions?

Unfortunately I doubt anyone can help since this problem has been discussed on various ATI forums and newsgroups. It's the one where people cannot set their refresh rate high enough in Win98SE, using the latest (3.1) Catalyst drivers for the Radeon cards. Some people are stuck at 60Hz - luckily I can get 75Hz. The consensus seems to be that the only thing that helps is Powerstrip. Personally I don't find it acceptable that I have to run 3rd party software (shareware, hence nag screens) in order to get my 9700 Pro to work properly.

I'd like to see what ATI's advise is, and whether they are intending to fix it. If not, I've still got a couple of weeks to send the card back for a refund.
