Cannot get past 2.55GHz with E4300?

Thanks for the information. I am actually running orthos now, it's been going for over an hour so far without any errors. For the temp, it has not been over 48 yet. Hopefully it's reading it right. 🙂
 
I'm pretty sure the accuracy of the temps is a crapshoot. I read somewhere that the sensors have a tolerance of +/- 15%. And from what people report it seems to be all over the map. Some people report load temps on high overclocks in the low 30's😕 not possible IMO

Mine with the stock heatsink🙁 , gotta get a better one. My E6400 at 3.2ghz shows high 40's at idle and mid to high 60's at load. I've seen people with the same chip and speeds and stock HSF report load temps anywhere from the 30's to 80c
 
You are definately right as for unreliable. I had been relying soley on Biostar's hardware monitoring, but I downloaded speedfan and coretemp. It seems the average for the latter two is 27/28* idle and 54/58* under full load (both cores).

Is that reasonable or too high? Couldn't find any solid information on the recommended max temps.
 
Incrase FSB voltage +0.2v, MCH +0.2v, CPU to 1.45v, RAM to 2.1v
Set DRAM clock to 533, FSB to 333MHz, CPU multiplier to x8.
If your system is stable, try higher FSB, ex 350 or 366.
After discovering your CPU limits, try to reduce voltages, but keep the system stable
