Cannot Get Opera To Startup Instead Of IE

When I start up Bluelight, (yes, I know dialup blows), IE always starts up instead of Opera. I have it set in Opera to check whether it is the default browser, and unchecked to do so in IE, but still, no matter what I try, IE always seems to default. Anyone know any tricks or have any idea what the problem is here? Please help me, as it is driving me nuts, as I cannot stand IE.

BTW, to clarify, what I mean is that when Bluelight connects me to the internet, instead of Opera starting up and going to my homepage, IE6 does, and I have to start Opera manually. GRRR

Under Add/Remove Programs, click on the "Set Program Access and Defaults". Choose Custom and select Opera as your default web browser.

Bluelight is K-Mart's old attempt at dial-up internet service. As I recall, it uses it's own software instead of Windows dialup networking and is set up to use IE. Didn't know it was still around. Sorry you have dial-up, but clearly the safest thing to do without breaking your proprietary software is to wait for dialing to finish, then close (or if disconnects, minimize) IE and open Firefox, or Opera or Mozilla. Or, if the properties of the dial-up node are in Bluelight, you should be able to make a Windows dial-up networking node and uninstall Bluelight, then dial-up and use what ever browser you want.

I don't think it is a matter of setting the default browser though - it's the K-Mart software that is set up to call IE only.
