I bought off ebay and old Dell 3200 laptop. I got it yesterday and it worked fine. Booted up and shutdown several times.
This morning, it is fully charged, but I cannot get anything on the screen. I toggle the fctn key along with f8 and still nothing on the screen. On the little LCD display panel the computer has it shows a locked symbol when I push the F8 key.
I even hooked the computer to an external display, but still got nothing to display.
The computer runs Win98 which is OK for what I plan to use it for.
Is it possible the computer has some type of hardware lock, or what.
I got it really cheap and understood that I was buying as is, where is. And, the computer did boot and run fine yesterday.
Is there anyway to just reset the whole thing. I don't care if I wipe the hard drive.
Please help.
