Hi Guys,
I have just purchased a new Samsung Syncmaster 305T plus, and am unable to go past the first resolution of 1280x800. I am running a 3870x2 which has been advertised to run 2560x1600, which is what I am looking for. The rest of the system is a 3.0 intel quad extreme on an asus maximus MB...XP..... 4 gig ram.
After googling the problem, I have found others who have suffered a similar problem, although all using a 30" screen, not all are ATI vid cards, nor the Samsung. I am unable to find any suggeestions to cure the problem.
I have the latest ATI drivers.........and have uninstalled and reinstalled them. In the Catalyst Control Centre, I see a max of 7 resolutions, the largest being 1280x800, and under DVI/attributes, the maximum reported resolutions is 1280x800.
Any suggestions?
