Cannot find an alternative for XMARKS

I love XMARKS but it always breaks my Chrome bookmarks as in, they would all lose their fav icons until I visit each and every site.

This is a well known issue with XMARKS and Chrome and it won't be fixed since the development of XMARKS has stopped.

I found an options or two but one was paid and the other was not a plugin but rather a program that sits in your browser


anyone being able to find a good working extension for cross platform browser bookmarks synchronization?
 
Chrome has it's own bookmark synchronization feature when you sign into it with your Google account. I've been using that instead.
