Topic says it all. I have my IBM HD hooked up to the Highpoint HPT370 controller on by Abit SA6R mobo. I have the latest Highpoint drivers intsalled, but there is no DMA box available to check in device manager. However, the DVD-ROM drive hooked to the controller with the 815 chipset allows me to enable DMA. Am I doing something wrong, or missing something. BTW, I am running Windows ME, and plan to install W2K as well in dual boot.

My Soyo 6BA-100 has an hpt370 on board, and i have no dma option. It is pretty apparent that dma is in fact on so, i guess external controller chips' drivers do it automatically.
