Cannot detect floppy drive, help

Ok recently I was having problems with some things, decided to format. Will not detect my floppy drive
therefore I cannot format or fdisk. Any suggestions? I have checked all the cables and changed them out and
put a different floppy drive in that I know is good and nothing. Need some ideas. Thanks.

Make sure your floppy disk controller isn't disabled in the BIOS settings of the MB.. If you want to boot from the floppy disk controller, make sure to set the boot sequence correctly (ie. floppy before HD)..
