I have one machine that has Win2k installed and it has approximately 15 files in the root directory named "pagepage.pag", yes, all of them are named the same! I cannot delete them no matter what I do--they are each 1.2MB and I have tried both in and out of Win to delete them but can not access the attributes to change them. Any suggestions?? thx

I don't know if that's possible to have several files of the same name...
Anyway, can't you just do delete in a pure dos environment?
I know you can go to dos by pressing f8 during bootup.
I don't know if this applies to win2k though.

I don't have this problem, but I have a followup question related to it.

How do you access an NTFS drive from dos?
It's not like the old days where you just type c:\
It has no letter assignment.

So , what you were trying to tell him, how would he delete those files from out of the win2k environment?

If u can't wild card them, try to rename them in explorer. Also run scan disk cuz it's not supposed to have the same name, as u stated.

you can't
does doesn't support NTFS
you'll probalby want to install the emergeny console something or other (comes w/ win2k) and it will let u use a command line type thingy on boot
