Cannot delete a folder in my USB flash drive

when i try to delete the folder, a window pops up and says, "cannot remove folder X: the file or directory is corrupted or unreadable". are there ways around it?
 
Is it just a normal folder? Not hidden or read-only or anything? Can you access the properties to the folder?
 
If there's not really any important data on the flash drive try formatting it with both the quick format and the regular format option. If it fails then the flash drive has gone bad. If it's under warranty contact the manufacturer and get a RMA for it. Mine just failed last week and I had the exact same problem as you. Luckily I bought mine in Oct so it's still under warranty and waiting for my replacement one right now.
