Cannot defrag

Hiya, I recently installed a new motherboard, added a new harddrive and a few other things, anyway when I now try to run defrag on either of my WD IDE drives I click on it flashes as being selected and does nothing. I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 with a A8N-E mobo if it matters. Any ideas?
 
Did you reinstall WinXP after replacing the mobo? If not, you can probably salvage the install. Do a search in these forums for "repair install".
