Cannot Copy File - Cyclic Redundancy Check?

i get some kind of error like that when i try to copy a file from cd to hard drive. any help?

the wierd thing is...the data on the cd works if i run it off the cd

try wiping off the surface of the CD. cyclic redundancy check means the drive has tried multiple times to read that particular file/sector and failed each time. if cleaning it off doesn't work, try it in another drive.
