Cannot Connect to DSL after Format

Hi, i recently formatted my PC, something ive done in the past, but now that ive reinstalled XP I cant connect to the internet. I've hooked up my laptop to my DSL modem, and it works fine, but when i hook up my PC i cant connect. I've setup my connection, but whenever i open Firefox or Explorer, it just says I cant connect. Any troubleshooting tips would be appreciated.

I think you just need to install your ethernet card drivers. Because when you formatted your PC, all the drivers should've been wipe too. Hope it'll help.

Thanks, a friend suggested the same thing. This might sound a bit ridiculous, but how would I go about finding the correct driver for my card? Thanks!

it all depends,is your network card built into the motherboard?

If it is just go looking for your cd that came with the board & install the drivers from the cd.

Allright, I think Ive got it figured out now. Im downloading some drivers from the manufacturer which should hopefully fix the problem. Thanks for your help, I'll post if it doesnt work.

Yeah, thanks for all the help. The internet is up and running now. New computer, and the card wasnt integrated, so thats where the problems began. Anyway, thanks again.
